Fallopian tube which is also known as ovarian uterine tubes is an important part of the female body. It is long narrow tubes which basically connects the ovaries to the uterus. Women generally should have two uterine tubes unless one is surgically removed or because of any biological abnormality. It helps in the ovulation process by carrying egg cells (ova) to the uterus. Different types of infections can harm fallopian tube for example Salpingitis, tubal disorders. Salpingitis is the inflammation of the fallopian tube which is synonymously used for the Pelvic Inflammatory Disorders (PID).
